SlayJobs: Mock Interview & Job Coach — Last Updated: August 2026

These Terms and Conditions (these “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the SlayJobs application and website (collectively, the “App”), operated by Definer Technology Limited (“we,” “us,” “our,” or the “Company”), a company registered and based in Hong Kong.

By accessing or using SlayJobs, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the App.

1. Service Description

SlayJobs is an AI-powered job interview preparation and coaching platform. The App provides:

• Mock interview simulations with AI-powered feedback
• Interview coaching and guidance
• Job preparation tools and resources
• Spoken or typed answers, with a camera preview you may switch on for practice (never uploaded)
• CV analysis, and a match score against a job description

2. Eligibility and Minimum Age

You must be at least 18 years old to use SlayJobs. By accessing or using the App — with or without an account — you represent that you are 18 or older. The App is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly permit anyone under 18 to use it or knowingly collect their personal data.

If you are under 18, do not use the App and do not create an account.

If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will close it and delete the associated personal data. If you believe a person under 18 has provided us with personal data, contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.

3. No Guarantee of Employment

You understand and agree that:

• Use of SlayJobs DOES NOT guarantee employment or that you will secure a job.
• The App does not guarantee you will pass real job interviews or assessments.
• Interview outcomes depend on numerous factors beyond the App’s control, including employer preferences, market conditions, and your personal performance.
• The Company makes no warranties about the effectiveness of the coaching or feedback provided by the App.

4. Audio Consent

4.1 What You Consent To

When you answer an interview question by speaking, you consent to:

• your microphone being used for the duration of that answer;
• the audio being transmitted to our AI providers — named in section 4.2 of the Privacy Policy — to be transcribed and analysed;
• the resulting transcript being scored and critiqued to produce your feedback.

You can practise entirely by typing instead. Nothing in the product requires you to speak.

4.2 What We Do Not Do

• We do not record video. The camera preview during setup is rendered in your browser and never uploaded.
• We do not analyse body language, facial expression, or anything visual.
• We do not store your audio. It is transmitted for transcription and not written to our database; what we keep is the text. See section 3.2 of the Privacy Policy.
• We do not derive or store a voiceprint or any other biometric identifier.

4.3 Third Parties

Your audio and the text derived from it are processed by the providers listed in section 4.2 of the Privacy Policy, which is what makes transcription and feedback possible. We do not sell them, share them with advertisers or data brokers, or make them available to other users. We may disclose data where required by valid legal process.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

All content, design, code, graphics, logos, and materials in the App (“Content”) are the exclusive property of Definer Technology Limited or our licensors. This includes:

• The App’s source code and software.
• All text, images, videos, and interactive features.
• AI algorithms, models, and feedback generation systems.
• Trademarks and branding (including “SlayJobs”).

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial interview preparation only. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, translate, or create derivative works from any Content without written permission from Definer Technology Limited.

6. User Accounts and Security

6.1 Account Creation

You may be required to create an account to access certain features. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and truthful information during registration.

6.2 Password and Access

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access. We are not liable for losses resulting from unauthorized use of your account due to your failure to maintain security.

6.3 User Content

Any content you upload remains your property. However, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and process your content solely for the purposes of providing the App’s services.

7. Subscription and Payment

7.1 Subscription Plans

SlayJobs may offer monthly, yearly, or other plans. Pricing and features are subject to change at any time, with notice provided to existing subscribers.

7.2 Auto-Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. You agree to automatic charges to your payment method until cancellation.

7.3 Refund Policy

• First Purchases Only: You may request a refund within 14 days of the initial charge, provided you have not materially used the App.
• Material Use: Includes completing mock interviews, using coaching features, or viewing feedback.
• Renewals: All renewals and subsequent purchases are final and non-refundable.
• No Refunds After the First Month: Outside of the 14-day window described above, no refunds will be issued for a forgotten or unused subscription, or for an accidental upgrade from a monthly to a yearly plan. It is your responsibility to manage and cancel your subscription before it renews.

7.4 Chargeback Protection

Initiating a chargeback without first requesting a refund through our support process may result in immediate account suspension.

8. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree NOT to:

• Attempt to hack, breach, or circumvent security measures.
• Reverse-engineer or decompile the App’s code.
• Use the App for illegal purposes.
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users or Company staff.
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the App Content.

9. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately, without notice, for breaches of these Terms, intellectual property theft, or actions that harm the App or other users.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Hong Kong law:

• The App is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind.
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including lost profits or data) arising from your use of the App.
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Third-Party Services

The App may link to third-party services. We are not responsible for the content or practices of these third parties. Use them at your own risk.

12. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is vital. Please review our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and protect your data. By using the App, you consent to these practices.

13. Modifications to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Changes are effective immediately upon posting. We will notify users of material changes via email or App notification.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

13.1 Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong.

13.2 Jurisdiction: Any legal action shall be exclusively resolved in the courts of Hong Kong.

13.3 Dispute Resolution: Before legal action, please contact [email protected] for an amicable resolution.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms and our Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and Definer Technology Limited.
